Seasonal Sunday (4-17-11)

I decided after much thought that highlighting just one blogger each week was not cutting it. Many wonderful recipes are shared each sunday and in return I really want to share some additional link love!

Therefore- A Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner, Dessert + a Bonus Recipe from the previous week will be highlighted instead. As Seasonal Sunday grows so will the number of highlighted recipes.

So with that being said- lets get started.

Check out the following Seasonal recipes that I could not get out of my head!

Strawberry Banana Bread
Chiptole Bean Tostadas
Grain Free Matzoh Balls

Bonus: Gluten Free Thin Mint Cookies

AND if you happen to run into handsome Film producer named Rich Angell with PBS- Feel Free to say hello to him as well! (He of course is the love of my life/ husband) We are very excited that PBS is able to play a role in helping this Gluten and Allergy Free Community gain a little extra exposure!

We will Also be in D.C for the 1 in 133 Summit on May 4th. Did you know that any company can slap a "Gluten Free" label on their product. This means that a product can literally contain small amounts of Gluten- yet carry a Gluten Free label. For those with Celiac's and Extreme Sensitivities this is a a matter of severe sickness or good health. If you have not checked out the 1 in 133 Site - give it a read and make sure to sign the petition.

Brittany, thank you once again for hosting another carnival! πŸ™‚ I posted a gluten free Leek, Mushroom and Swiss Chard Tart. I can’t wait to see what others post.

    Hi Brittany —

Your Kiwi-Coconut Ice Cream is beautiful! I'm also strongly drawn towards those GF Thin Mint Cookies πŸ˜‰

Here is my slow-cooker version of Navy Bean Soup, which is seasoned mostly with herbs and vegetables (parsley, carrot and celery)…and some GF stock, if you like. It’s one of my family’s favorites, and they don’t even notice how nutritious it is. They don't even care that it’s also GF, CF, corn-free, egg-free, nut-free, soy-free and sugar-free. Since it's also so easy, I make it often.
