Grain Free Strawberry “Loft House” Sugar Cookies!

These cookies literally gave me goosebumps.. they are THAT good. The strawberry flavor is so fresh and real tasting thanks to the use of all natural freeze dried fruit! I didn't use any food coloring- but of course if you want to add some you can.

If strawberry isn't your thing, feel free to make powder of any other freeze dried fruit of choice!

    I know this might be a silly question but what do you use to cut out your cookies? When we have made them they seem to spread a bit so I was wondering what size yours start out as?

    Do you have any substitutions for the shortening? I am allergic to both Palm Oil and Soybean oil. Would lard work?

    This might be a silly question… but can I just leave the strawberry powder out of the recipe to make vanilla ones? Would I need to add anything extra to compensate for the strawberry powder I’m not adding?

    My husband loved these even though they had pink icing. I didn’t flavor the dough itself with strawberries but when I make them again I definitely will! For us, these were even better eaten straight from the refrigerator. I bet these would freeze well too 🙂
